“On this occasion of marking the 40th anniversary of its company and successful management of the crude oil transport system, I would like to congratulate JANAF, its managers and employees, the entire staff on the realized business performance, as well as on the Investment Projects, both planned and completed ones. The company’s revenues and profit in comparison to the last year are the indicators of prosperous trend and continuance with good business performance. Approximately two months ago the renewed and modernized JANAF Žitnjak Terminal has been commissioned and started with its operation, thus becoming one of the most modern terminals for petroleum products in this part of Europe.

The company has invested in the capital project, modernizes its business operation, raises environmental standards and constantly improves cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the system of both transport and storage. At the same time, it is a promoter of other branches of industry as well, since the energy sector is already one of important investors in Croatia. By investing into capital projects, JANAF also motivates other domestic companies to take part in reconstruction and upgrade.

You are positioning yourselves in your business operation as significant energy and economic company both in Croatia and in the region. You contribute to stable business operation and together in synergy with others you create a picture of Croatia as desirable and attractive to potential investors. Geostrategies change, but good projects win in all variants, thus making the company’s significance even greater,“ said Mladen Pejnović, Head of Croatian State Administrative Office for State Property Management.

“It is my great honour to be here today and attend this ceremony of marking the 40th anniversary of the company Jadranski naftovod. It is the company that realizes a continuous growth of excellent business results owing to which it can finance by its own funds new projects, like the one related to the recent commissioning of renewed and modernized Žitnjak Terminal, thus marking the completion of the Reconstruction and Upgrade Project. One thing needs to be always kept in mind that JANAF represents one of the most important Croatian companies of strategic national interest and at the same time not being a beneficiary of the state budget nor any government subsidies or grants. I hope that this increase of gross profit obtained in the first half of the year will be an excellent example for other companies to follow,” emphasized Anka Mrak Taritaš, Minister of the Croatian Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning.
