JANAF starts with construction of storage tanks at Sisak Terminal

Zagreb – Jadranski naftovod, Joint Stock Company, respecting the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Croatia to form and maintain the crude oil and oil products reserves up to the 90-day consumption level until the mid-2012, and considering the assessment of its competitive advantages, plans an intensive development of crude oil and oil products storage activities, especially at the Sisak and Omišalj Terminals.

Therefore, JANAF has conducted the necessary preparatory activities. Thus, an additional land was purchased in Sisak, the procedure regarding the environmental impact assessment was conducted, the location permit was obtained, as well as the conceptual permit for all phases of the storage tank farm reconstruction and upgrade, together with obtaining certain construction permits. The activities conducted enable JANAF to perform the preparatory activities and to commence the construction respectively.

The construction of two storage tanks at Sisak, worth HRK 162,157 mil., will be carried out by Đuro Đaković Holding consortium, which comprised Đ.Đ. Montaža, Đ.Đ. Proizvodnja opreme, Đ.Đ. Inženjering, Đ.Đ. Elektromontaža and Konstruktor Inženjering Split.

At the Omišalj Terminal, the preparatory activities have also been initiated in order to provide for the storage tank farm expansion.
