JANAF Management Board presented financial figures for 2008 and announced business activities for 2009

Zagreb – The Management Board of JANAF Plc. presented today, 4 February 2009, the unaudited financial statements for the year 2008 and announced the business activities in the year 2009. Presenting the financial figures for the last year, Mr. Ante Markov, Chairman of the Board, pointed out that, owing to the company’s business activities, the revenues obtained from crude oil transport showed a 3% increase compared to the previous year, regardless of US dollar exchange rate being lower in average when compared to the year before. Transport revenues measured in US dollar were up 9% compared to the previous year.

Ministry official says Russian gas supplies unquestionable also beyond 2010

ZAGREB, (Hina) - A Russian-Croatian government commission for economic, scientific and technological cooperation decided at its fifth session, held in Moscow on Tuesday and Wednesday, that the provision of Russian natural gas to Croatia after the expiry of its current contract with Gazprom would be unquestionable, an official of the Croatian Economy Ministry told Hina on Wednesday.

Transfer of JANAF's Shares

Zagreb – On Thursday, 26 February 2009, the Contract on transfer of JANAF’s shares was signed between the Republic of Croatia, the Central Office for State Property Management, represented by the Croatian Privatization Fund pursuant to the Decision of the Croatian Government (as Transferor) and HRVATSKA ELEKTROPRIVREDA d.d. (as Transferee).

Successful recertification of JANAF integrated management system

Zagreb – Since December 2005, JANAF Plc. has been organizing and managing its business activities according to the requirements of international ISO standards, with the certificates validity of three years. Therefore, at the beginning of December 2008, the recertification audit of the JANAF integrated management system was conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification company, including all JANAF’s locations and organizational units. Upon thorough examination of the management system, the conclusion was to extend the certificates validity for another three years (until December 2011). Thus in early March 2009, JANAF Plc. officially received the following certificates:
