Quality Management

The International Standardization Organization (ISO) is the world federation of national standardisation bodies responsible for preparing, accepting, publishing and caring for international standards.

In 2005, JANAF made a strategic decision that the Company would continue to conduct its further business operations in accordance with the requirements of the ISO standards, and in 2006 we were awarded the following certificates:

  • ISO 9001, Quality Management System
  • ISO 14001, Environmental Management System, and
  • OHSAS 18001, Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

We have been successfully recertified every three years, thus demonstrating our commitment to continuously improving the quality of our operations, customer care and the protection of the environment, health and safety. In addition, we have based our business operations on social accountability, while at the same time respecting the guidelines and requirements of ISO 26000:2010 standard.

By maintaining an environmental protection management system and by systematically monitoring the level of environmental performance associated with our business operations, we have not only met mandatory statutory requirements, but we have also voluntarily set ourselves and successfully fulfilled higher criteria. The latest issue of ISO 14001:2015 additionally contributes to meeting the expectations for sustainable development and accountability by both the narrower and wider community.

The Health and Safety Management System has enabled us to control our own risks and increase efficiency. Risk assessments, preventive actions, professional training and quality protective equipment have significantly contributed to the safety and proactive accountability of employees.

In March 2017, we were awarded the ISO 50001, Energy Management Systems Certificate. Through legal regulations and compliance with the requirements of this standard, we have proven our commitment to improving energy efficiency. An energy team was set up to ensure the implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the energy management process and to raise awareness of energy policy and goals at all organisational levels.

After successful recertification in October 2017, JANAF entered the fifth certification cycle of the integrated system, taking into account the principles and requirements of the latest versions of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.

In our day-to-day business, we have relied on the principles of ISO 9001, namely customer orientation, leadership, people involvement, process approaches, fact-based decision-making and relationship management. After many years of successful operation in line with the ISO 9001 standard, in October 2017 JANAF successfully passed certification in accordance with ISO 29001:2010, Quality Management System in the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industries.

Excellent business results, satisfied customers and committed employees, as well as continuous raising of the bar in business operations on the European and global energy markets, have confirmed the highest standards of quality management.
