    JANAF's unaudited business results for the year 2007

    JANAF's 2007 oil throughput was 7,2 million tons, ie. 13,2% more than in 2006, whilst oil transport revenues amounted to Kn 216,2 million and comprised 69,3% of the core business revenues, which gave 10,1% increase when compared to the previous year. The increase in revenue is a result of larger transport volumes, of altered commercial conditions and the negative impact of the change in US dollar exchange rate. The transported oil quantities record 2,9% decrease, which has resulted, along with consequences of the US dollar exchange rate devaluation, in 3,4% revenue decrease.

    Ministry announced reports on inspection services integrated

    Zagreb (MZOPU) – The Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction announced the reports made after the first integrated control conducted by the inspection services responsible for the environmental matters. Recognizing the activities of the inspection services responsible for the environmental matters and their mutual coordination as key issue of an efficient environmental performance, this Ministry has initiated, with the purpose of establishing a formal framework for mutual cooperation and coordination of the inspections related to any components of the environment in application of the regulations in the field of the environmental protection, the preparation of the Agreement on Cooperation between Inspection Services, which was signed in 2007.

    JANAF starts with construction of storage tanks at Sisak Terminal

    Zagreb – Jadranski naftovod, Joint Stock Company, respecting the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Croatia to form and maintain the crude oil and oil products reserves up to the 90-day consumption level until the mid-2012, and considering the assessment of its competitive advantages, plans an intensive development of crude oil and oil products storage activities, especially at the Sisak and Omišalj Terminals.

    PEOP Shareholders Agreement to be signed next week

    Zagreb – One of the following activities on the PEOP (Pan European Oil Pipeline) Project implementation will be the next week signing of the Shareholders Agreement that will take place in Bucharest on Tuesday, 22 April 2008. So far, the signatories to the Shareholders Agreement shall be the representatives of JANAF from Croatia, CONPET and OIL TERMINAL from Romania, as well as of TRANSNAFTA from Serbia. On behalf of JANAF, the Agreement shall be signed by Mr. Vladimir Vranković, Board Member.

    JANAF’s presents to elementary school children on the occasion of Earth Day

    Zagreb – On the occasion of this year Earth Day which is celebrated around the world, thus also in Croatia, on 22 April of each year, JANAF Plc. decided to make an appropriate donation to the elementary schools of the towns in which the JANAF terminals are located, by giving presents to the first grade pupils.

    PEOP Shareholders Agreement signed

    Bucharest – Continuing with the activities on the implementation of the PEOP Project (Pan European Oil Pipeline), today, 22 April 2008, the Shareholders Agreement was signed in Bucharest. The Agreement was signed by the representatives of JANAF from Croatia, CONPET and OIL TERMINAL from Romania, as well as by TRANSNAFTA from Serbia. On behalf of JANAF, the Agreement was signed by Mr. Vladimir Vranković, Board Member. “The Shareholders Agreement represents the basic document and the first step in establishing the company, whose task shall be to promote the PEOP Project, to prepare all relevant documents necessary to organize the investors’ conference, as well as to attract all those potentially interested for that project,” emphasized Mr. Vranković, JANAF’s Board Member after signing the Agreement.
